Get up and running with the WedStay API in four steps.

Step 1: Get your API key

API keys are issued manually during the beta. Request one by emailing info@thewedstay.com with the subject line "WedStay API Key Request", and include what you're building and your expected usage.

We typically respond within 24 hours. Send the key on every request as Authorization: Bearer ws_live_... or in the X-WedStay-Key header. Building for an AI assistant? The MCP server needs no key at all.

Step 2: Search venues

Find wedding venues by state, city, capacity, or price range.

Fetch full details for a specific venue including photos, amenities, and pricing. Pass the full slug from the search results, URL encoded, so its slashes become %2F.
